Every day is a new adventure, and this Saturday, everyone’s favorite blue pup pal is going on her very own BIG ZOO ADVENTURE at Utica Zoo! She will be on zoo grounds from 10:00am to 3:00pm on August 1st, available to meet and greet the entire family, pose for photos, and spread joy. The Utica Zoo has an impressive lineup of family friendly activities in honor of BLUEY DAY that include:

  • Australian animal keeper chats like the Bennett’s Wallaby and Blue-tongued Skink.
  • A community book swap encouraging visitors to bring in used books and leave with their own new reads! The zoo will be donating books from their own education department to promote the sustainability of reusing goods.
  • Bug scavenger hunts throughout zoo grounds.
  • Keepy uppy game for children.
  • Butterfly catcher game for children.
  • Pass the parcel game for children with a PRIZE (children must be signed up ahead of time on the zoo’s website as there is a fee to play and spots fill up quickly.)
  • Bluey storytimes read by the zoo’s education department or docents.
  • Polly’s Concessions with a special blue treat!

Excluding the pass the parcel game for children, all other activities are free and included with regular zoo admission, so, plan for a beautiful day at the zoo with your favorite blue pup pal this Saturday, August 1st from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Individuals interested in signing their child up to play pass the parcel on Saturday should head to: uticazoo.org/events.

The zoo is open 10:00am to 4:30pm but all Bluey Day activities will cease at 3:00pm. Polly’s Concessions will maintain their normal hours of operation from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
