A highlight of The Richfield Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert Series line up was the recent performance by the US Army Band from Fort Drum. Judie Stone, long-time Chamber coordinator of the Summer Concert Series, arranged the special performance in an effort to pay tribute to America’s 250th Anniversary.
The 10th Mountain Division Band is composed of soldier-musicians who dazzled the extensive crowd of attendees with their repertoire that included, marches, Broadway hits, jazz, classical and popular music. It featured instrumental as well as vocal soloists.
The band is capable of performing at large ceremonies or broken down into smaller musical performances.
The free Chamber Summer Concert Series takes place Wednesday nights through August at
7 PM in Spring Park, US Route 20.
