On Wednesday evenings through late spring, summer, and early fall, friends & neighbors of Carl and Maria Rovetto meet at the Bocce Court on Flint Avenue for an evening of camaraderie and sport. Young and old enjoy this time to be together, as it strengthens an important part of being a neighborhood. As dark comes, lights go on, and the game continues on. Refreshments are served as the evening wanes and the scoreboard tips one way or the other.
A beautiful Kouza Dogwood tree was donated and planted by the Southside Improvement Association on Sunday morning as a thank you to the Rovettos for generously creating this Bocce Court, which so many people enjoy. Our group takes pride in honoring Maria and Carl Rovetto for their neighborhood generosity.
