Timothy Burdick, 60, of Ilion, New York passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday evening, August 20, 2026.
A cherished soul, Timothy was born on January 29, 1966, in Gloversville, New York. He was the beloved son of Melvyn Burdick and the late, Jacqueline Burdick. Timothy attended Stratford Central School. He dedicated his career to caring for others at Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Home formerly known as Van Allens Nursing Home in Little Falls, New York.
Timmy as he was affectionately known, leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and resilience. Timmy found joy in the simple pleasure of life.
He was an avid camper, his granddaughter Gianna held a special, place in his heart, and their time together was cherished beyond measure. Timmy was a devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins, cheering them on through every season. His passion for football was matched only by his love for his family and friends. Timmy loved to have cookout, where his wise jokes and infectious laughter filled the air, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Timmy’s legacy is one of warmth, generosity and remarkable ability to bring people together. His wise jokes and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His presence will be sorely missed. But his love will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him. His family and friends find solace in beautiful memories they shared with him and carry his spirit in their hearts forever.
He is survived by his devoted father, Melvyn Burdick and his loving companion Mary. Timmy spirit lives on through his children, Brandon Burdick and his wife, Amanda Burdick with whom he resided; a son, Channing Burdick. He was a proud papa to Gianna Burdick, Channce Burdick, step-papa to Nathan Chapple and Nicholas Seifert- all whom brought immeasurable joy to his life.
As a brother, Timmy was deeply cherished by his brother, Willard Burdick and wife, Tammy Burdick. He also leaves behind his niece Jessie Burdick; nephews, Willard Burdick Jr, Raymond, Clayton Burdick and Joey Cutter; many great-niece, great-nephews, cousins and many friends. His family was his world, and the bonds he nurtured with them were unbreakable.
Timmy was preceded in death by his dear mother, Jacqueline and his brother, Gregory Burdick.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home. Procession will follow to Salisbury Rural Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his mother and brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Reception at the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club starting at approximately 3:30 p.m./4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
