While we are all enjoying peaceful, bountiful times with our families at this time of year, other parts of the world are experiencing war and devastation. The charity arm of Rotary, the Rotary Foundation, among its many initiatives, has focused on peacebuilding by creating Peace Centers at leading world universities. These programs offer fully funded master’s degrees that train and empower professionals to become peace-building and conflict-resolution leaders. Professionals with the skills and knowledge to promote world peace and prevent conflict in their communities and on an international level. So that over time, more of the people of our world can join us at a peaceful and bountiful Thanksgiving table.
