In the early morning hours of April 3, 2026, the entire Little Falls Police Department, aided by the Herkimer Police Special Response Team (SRT), comprised of specially trained officers from police agencies within Herkimer County, executed search warrants on two residences in the City of Little Falls.
LFPD moved in to secure homes that have been selling illegal narcotics to several people, as learned during a continuing, 6-month-long investigation, to date. The preparation and planning that went into this operation concluded the first part of this investigation, with both houses being taken over by LFPD to further their investigation.
The first warrant was executed pre-dawn with the start of a distracting device called a “Flash Bang.” Once initiated, the warrant team immediately produced 13 occupants at 25 Jackson Street. Once all subjects were removed from the house, 12 of those suspects were relocated to the LFPD Police Station to shield them from the new rain that had begun. Once at the police station, investigators that residence and began a methodical search for illegal narcotics and other contraband at the Jackson Street house.
The SRT and other remaining officers quickly moved to Hancock Street and executed the second warrant at 54 Hancock Street, starting with another “Flash Bang” in the residence. Once officers were able to secure and remove the 8 individuals from the residence, the Little Falls Fire Department responded to ensure complete extinguishment of the explosive tool utilized. Another team of Officers and Investigators began the methodical search of that home.
While teams were conducting the searches at the residences, other officers began interviewing those individuals at the station. Once all were interviewed, the investigators began organizing the evidence recovered from both properties. Found within the residences were the following:
- Illegally possessed long gun;
- Counterfeited $100 bills;
- Powder Cocaine;
- Crack Cocaine;
- Powder Fentanyl;
- Large amount of Marihuana; and
- Cash totaling over $2,000.00;
- Scales and other materials used in the preparation and packaging of illegal drugs.
Some of the evidence listed above will close out open investigations in both Herkimer and Little Falls. Further, other open cases may be resolved as the investigation continues.

Due to the recent law change in bail reform, LFPD was required to release a number of suspects with an appearance ticket to return to court at another time. Those who were arraigned were remanded to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility to await future court appearances. Judge Mezik presided over the arraignment as the search, investigation, and processing of officers was beyond the normal hours of the City Court.
More charges are expected for those listed above in the near future, with other crimes related to this search warrant execution as this investigation continues to unfold. This case remains open with other operations in progress with other suspects. We remind the community that, though arrested, the individuals named above are considered innocent until convicted in a court of law.
