On Wednesday, September 16, the Rotary Club of Little Falls met for its weekly dinner meeting at the Elks Lodge in Little Falls. Members were treated to a presentation (and pasties!) by Alexandra Ritz, owner of the Fox Tale Artisan Bakery, located at 407 Canal Place in Little Falls.

Alex Ritz grew up in Cobleskill and spent many summers visiting her grandparents in Little Falls, making this community a home away from home. After graduating from Portland State University with a bachelor’s degree, Alex continued her education by earning a master’s degree in business from Bard College. She held several food-related positions in Boston and in Burlington, Vermont, gaining experience while exploring her growing fascination with food – not simply what we eat, but where our ingredients come from, how food is made, the joy of flavors, and the powerful connection food has to culture and community.

The Foxtail specializes in handcrafted artisan sourdough loaves, using regionally sourced flowers and ingredients. Fan favorite breads include the cranberry walnut loaf, garlic ciabatta, olive ciabatta, and multigrain loaves.

The Fox Tale Artisan Bakery is open Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM and on Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM

Alex shared some delicious pastries with the Rotarians, assuring her of some new Rotarian customers! Be sure to stop in and see what the bakery buzz is all about!

The Fox Tale Artisan Bakery celebrated its first anniversary in business last month.

Happy Birthday and many more, Alex!

That’s Alex’s work of art raisin bread with the candle in it-a Fox Tale favorite.
