Road Work Report for the Week Beginning October 5, 2026

ONEIDA COUNTY

Village of Clinton: (D#265257 Clinton-Route 12B: PM Paving; RTE 12B & 412, Oneida County) Route 412 (College Street) between Route 233 and Franklin Ave. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to milling operations and the installation of sod and trees. Route 12B between Franklin Ave and North Park Row will have daily lane closures with flaggers due to curb and sidewalk work. 

Village of Whitesboro: (Permit D#214978- Replacement of I-90 Bridge over Oriskany Blvd.) Route 69 between Route 291 and Clinton Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to the I-90 bridge construction. 

City of Rome: (Permit-Roundabout at the NYS Rte 825/Perimeter Road intersection) Route 825 between Hangar Road and Route 46. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place with a new traffic pattern due to the construction of a new roundabout. 

City of Rome: (D#265579 Route 46/Wright Settlement Road Intersection Improvement Project) Route 46 between North James Street and Potter Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to concrete sidewalk placement, epoxy striping, driveway work, miscellaneous traffic signal work.

City of Rome: (D#265553 Large Culvert Replacement at Multiple Locations Contract 6) Route 46 between Elmer Hill Road and Pennystreet Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to culvert replacement work.  

City of Rome: (D#265553 Large Culvert Replacement at Multiple Locations Contract 6) Fish Hatchery Road between Route 46 and Williams Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to culvert replacement. The detour will utilize Route 46, Potter Road, Turin Road, and Williams Road. 

Town of Boonville: (D#265530 Pavement Rehabilitation- Rte 46, Lansingkill to Holmes Road in the Towns of Ava, Boonville, & Western) Route 46 between Hillside Road and Holmes Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers due to paving operations. Temporary signals are in place at the bridge over Lansingkill Creek due to the bridge rail removal and replacement. 

Town of Sangerfield, Town of Bridgewater: (D#265660 Pavement Rehabilitation-Route 20 Town of Sangerfield to Town of Bridgewater) Route 20 between Beaver Creek Road and Route 8. Motorists will encounter lane shifts and shoulder closures in both directions due to sign and pavement marking operations. 

Hamlet of West Branch, Town of Lee: (D#265533 Culvert Repair and Replacement in the Town of Lee) Route 26 between River Road and Tuffy Road. Motorists will encounter shoulder and lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert and stream work.

Town of Verona, Hamlet of Durhamville: (D#265659 Pavement Preventative Maintenance-Route 46 Center Street to Erie Canal Town of Verona) Route 46 between Center Street and Route 49. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to bridge joint and shoulder work.   

City of Utica: (D#265694 Bridge Painting Project 27-Various Locations) Burrstone Road ramp to Route 5/8/12 south bound. Motorists will encounter a full ramp closure with motorists advised to utilize French Road due to bridge painting operations.  

City of Utica: (Permit) North Genesee Street between Lee Street and Auert Ave. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to work for National Grid. There will also be work being performed on Wurz Ave.

City of Utica: Route 49 south bound at the Route 12 south bound ramp. Motorists will encounter shoulder closures due to Canalway Trail work.

Town of Trenton: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 365 between Parker Hollow Road and Prospect Depot Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work.

City of Utica: (D#265768 North Genesee Gateway Project) North Genesee Street between Wurz Avenue and River Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to installation of work zone traffic control signs. Motorists will also encounter shoulder closures on the I-790 ramp, I-90 Ramp and River Road due to installation of work zone traffic control signs.

Town of Augusta: (D#265635 Culvert Replacement Project 25-Towns of Augusta, Georgetown, Schuyler) Route 26 between Wells Gifford Road and Simmons Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place. The detour will utilize Route 26, College Hill Road, Route 233 and Route 12B. 

Village of Boonville: (D#265271 Pavement Rehabilitation Project Route 12D, Route 46, Route 294) Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sidewalk replacement. 

Town of Bridgewater: (Permit) Route 8 @ Route 20. Motorists will encounter shoulder closures at the intersection due to waterline work. 

City of Rome: (Permit) Erie Blvd between James Street and George Street. Concrete work at the intersection of James Street and Erie Blvd will be performed with no impact to traffic.

City of Utica: (Bridge inspection BIN 1073860) Route 5S ramp to Route 12 north bound. Motorists will encounter a lane shift on the bridge due to the inspection of the bridge over the railroad on Thursday October 8^th. 

City of Utica: (Bridge inspection BIN 1073850) Route 12 south ramp to Route 5S/5A. Motorists will encounter a lane shift on the bridge due to the inspection of the bridge over the railroad on Thursday October 8^th. 

Town of Verona: (Bridge inspection BIN 4426080) Higginsville Road over the canal. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the inspection of the bridge on Thursday October 8^th. 

City of Rome: (Bridge inspection BINs 4426331, 4426332) Route 49 over Route 365. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions on Route 49 and Route 365 due to inspection of the bridges over Route 365 on Tuesday October 6^th.

Town of New Hartford: (Overhead Sign inspection SINs 26134, 26135, 26136, 26137, 26148, 26150) Route 840 between Route 5/8/12 and Middle Settlement Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions, ramp shifts and the turn lane from Route 5A to Route 840 east bound due to the inspection of the overhead signs Tuesday October 6^th through Thursday October 8^th. 

Town of New Hartford: (Overhead Sign inspection SIN 26154) Route 12 north bound at the runaway truck ramp. Motorists will encounter the ramp closure due to the inspection of the overhead sign on Tuesday October 6^th through Thursday October 8^th. 

Town of Vernon: (Permit-Vernon Water District 202502114565) Route 5 between Route 26 and Churchton Road. Water main installation work will be off the roadway with no impact to traffic. 

City of Rome: (Bridge inspection BINs 1069750, 1069760) Route 365 under Route 825. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to the inspection of the bridges on Thursday October 8^th. 

Town of New Hartford: (Bridge inspection BIN 1051530) Route 8 over Genesee Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to the inspection of the bridge over Genesee Street on Wednesday October 7^th. 

City of Utica: (Permit) North Genesee Street between Weaver Street and River Road. Beginning Saturday October 3^rd through Friday October 9^th motorists will encounter a single lane in both directions traffic pattern along with the closure of the north bound Thruway entrance closure with a signed detour in place. This is for water main work/repairs.

 MADISON COUNTY

City of Oneida: (Permit D#215056 Replacement of Route 46 over I-90) Route 46 between Center Street and Cobb Street. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to the replacement of the bridge over I-90. The detour will utilize Routes NY 365A, NY 365, and NY 31.

City of Oneida: (Permit) Route 46 between Fairview Ave and Union Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to fiber optic cable work. 

Village of Morrisville: (Permit) Route 20 between Cedar Street and Pleasant Valley Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to fiber optic cable work. 

Village of Hamilton: (Permit) Route 12B between College Street and Horton Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to fiber optic cable work. 

HERKIMER COUNTY

Town of Litchfield: (D#265554 Culvert Resiliency Project 21 Contract 4 in the Town of Litchfield) Route 51 in the area of Remington Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the installation of guiderail. 

Village of Dolgeville: (Permit #202502113431 Village of Dolgeville-Main Street Sewer Improvements) Route 29 between W State Street and Green Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sanitary sewer main and lateral replacements.

City of Little Falls: (D#265658 Pavement Preventative Maintenance Route 167 City of Little Falls, Town of Manheim) Route 167 between Route 5 and Sullivan Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due ditching and driveway work. Milling and paving operations will continue. 

Town of Schuyler: (D#265762 Job Order Contract (JOC) 2026-Bridges-East) Route 5 between Drive-In Road and Elmwood Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to bridge deck work. 

Town of Frankfort: (D#265694 Bridge Painting Project 27) Route 5S under Dyke Road. Motorists will encounter an east bound lane closure due to bridge painting operations. 

Town of German Flatts: (D#265571) Regional Where and When 2026-2027) Route 28 between Ward Road and Route 168. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place. Ward Road will remain open. The detour will utilize Routes 167, 168 and Jordanville Road.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Town of Glen: (Permit D#215009 Rehabilitation of I-90 over Route 5S) Route 5S between Auriesville Road and Main Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to the I-90 bridge rehabilitation. 

City of Amsterdam: (D#265697 Paving Contract (East) Routes 30, 67, & 80 City of Amsterdam, Village of Fort Plain, Towns of Minden & Palatine) Route 30/67 between E Main Street and Prospect Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to punch list work, topsoil, seeding and striping. 

Town of Palatine: (D#265397 Large Culvert Replacements Contract 1 in the Towns of Stark, Palatine, Root, and the Village of Dolgeville) Route 5 between McKinley Road and County House Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to the installation of sheet piles and box culvert installation.  

Village of Palatine Bridge: (D#265618 Resurfacing Pavement Project Route 5 Town of Palatine) Route 5 between Groff Road and Failing Hill Road. Motorists will encounter overnight lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to installing signs and punch list items. 

Town of Amsterdam: (D#265805 Montgomery County Paving 5S & 30A) Route 5S between Fort Hunter Road and Target Drive. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to paving operations.

City of Amsterdam: (Bridge inspection) Route 5S between NYS Thruway and Grieme Ave. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to the inspection of the bridge over Route 30 on Monday October 5^th. 

City of Amsterdam: (Bridge inspection BIN 1021060) Route 30 under Grieme Ave. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to the inspection of the bridge on Tuesday October 6^th.

Town of Canajoharie: (Permit) Route 10 between Mc Ewan Road and Burkhart Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to work at the National Grid substation.

Hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake: (D#265570 Bridge Replacement Route 28 in the Town of Indian Lake) Route 28 between Durant Road and O’Neil Flowage. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to the installation of a temporary bridge.  

Town of Lake Pleasant, Village of Speculator: (Maintenance operations) Route 30 between Page Street Road and Lewey Lake Campsite Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations. 

REGIONAL

D#265551 Pavement Markings: Motorists will encounter overnight lane closures/ lane shifts with flaggers due to pavement marking operations on various routes in Oneida and Madison Counties.
