Road Work Report for the Week Beginning July 20, 2026

ONEIDA COUNTY

Village of Clinton: (D#265257 Clinton-Route 12B: PM Paving; RTE 12B & 412, Oneida County) Route 12B between Route 233 and Robinson Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place between Furnace Street and College Street due to landscaping operations.

Village of Clinton: (D#265257 Clinton-Route 12B: PM Paving; RTE 12B & 412, Oneida County) Route 412 (College Street) between Route 233 and Franklin Ave. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sidewalk and curb installation.

Village of Whitesboro: (Permit D#214978- Replacement of I-90 Bridge over Oriskany Blvd.) Route 69 between Route 291 and Clinton Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to the I-90 bridge construction. 

Village of Yorkville: (Permit) Route 5A @ Route 69 overlap. Motorists will encounter lane and shoulder closures due to gas line work. 

City of Rome: (Permit-Roundabout at the NYS Rte 825/Perimeter Road intersection) Route 825 between Hangar Road and Route 46. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place with a new traffic pattern due to the construction of a new roundabout. 

City of Rome: (D#265579 Route 46/Wright Settlement Road Intersection Improvement Project) Route 46 between North James Street and Potter Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sidewalk work, and curb work.  

City of Rome: (Permit #040238 Downtown Rome Wheels to Heels Streetscapes, City of Rome Oneida County) Erie Blvd between James Street and George Street. Motorists will encounter daily lane closures in both directions due to curb, curb ramp and sidewalk work.

City of Rome: (D#265553 Large Culvert Replacement at Multiple Locations Contract 6) Route 46 between Elmer Hill Road and Pennystreet Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to culvert replacement work.  

City of Rome: (D#265553 Large Culvert Replacement at Multiple Locations Contract 6) Fish Hatchery Road between Route 46 and Williams Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to culvert replacement. The detour will utilize Route 46, Potter Road, Turin Road, and Williams Road. 

Town of Verona, Hamlet of Durhamville: (D#265659 Pavement Preventative Maintenance-Route 46 Center Street to Erie Canal Town of Verona) Route 46 between Center Street and Route 49. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving work.  

Town of Vernon: (Permit-Vernon Water District 202502114565) Route 31 between Route 26 traffic circle and Churchton Road.  Watermain work will be performed off the roadway with no impact to traffic.

Village of Oneida Castle: (Permit Village of Oneida Castle Sanitary Sewer Project) Route 5 between Route 365 and Route 46. Motorists will encounter flagging operations due to restoration work and sidewalk work.

Town of Boonville: (D#265530 Pavement Rehabilitation- Rte 46, Lansingkill to Holmes Road in the Towns of Ava, Boonville, & Western) Route 46 between Hillside Road and Holmes Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to cross culvert installation, ditching work, pipe cleaning and drainage work. There will also be temporary signals in place due to full depth shoulder reconstruction. 

Town of Sangerfield, Town of Bridgewater: (D#265660 Pavement Rehabilitation-Route 20 Town of Sangerfield to Town of Bridgewater) Route 20 between Beaver Creek Road and Route 8. Motorists will encounter lane shifts and shoulder closures in both directions due to shoulder reconstruction, guiderail installation and culvert work. 

Town of Verona: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 365 @ Blackmans Corners Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures with flaggers due to signal work. 

City of Rome: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 26 between Martin Street and E Whitesboro Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

City of Utica: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Riverside Drive at North Genesee Street/ Herkimer Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

Town of Marcy: (Bridge Maintenance operations) Route 291 between Fox Road and Bigelow Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to bridge joint repairs. 

Hamlet of West Branch, Town of Lee: (D#265533 Culvert Repair and Replacement in the Town of Lee) Route 26 between River Road and Tuffy Road. Motorists will encounter shoulder and lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert and stream work.

Town of New Hartford: (Permit 20252112842 Contract 17-Sewer Rehab) Route 12 at Wilbur Road. Motorists will encounter the left lane closure in both directions due to Mainline CIPP sewer lining. 

Town of Deerfield: (Bridge Inspection BIN 1053740) Route 28 between Route 8 and Sunny Island Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the inspection of the bridge over the West Canada Creek. 

City of Utica: (Permit) Route 12 under Mulaney Road. Motorists will encounter a north bound lane closure on Route 12 as well as the ramp to Mulaney Road on Horatio Street north bound. A detour will be in place for the Horatio Street ramp closure. The work is scheduled for Wednesday July 22^nd. 

City of Rome: (Bridge Maintenance Operations) Route 365 over Route 233. Motorists will encounter an east bound lane closure due to bridge joint repairs. 

City of Rome: (Permit) Route 46 between Madison Street and S James Street. Motorists will encounter shoulder closures in both directions due to survey operations. 

City of Rome: (Permit) S James Street between Martin Street and Muck Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to work on the bridge over the Canal. 

Town of Deerfield: (Permit/Utility) Route 12 between Miller Road and Trenton Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with a rolling road block due to wire transfers across Route 12. 

 MADISON COUNTY

City of Oneida: (Permit D#215056 Replacement of Route 46 over I-90) Route 46 between Center Street and Cobb Street. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to the replacement of the bridge over I-90. The detour will utilize Routes NY 365A, NY 365, and NY 31.

Town of Georgetown: (D#265331 Large Culvert Replacements-Contract 3 multiple sites) Route 80 between Muller Hill Road and Chapin Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the removal of the temporary detour, landscaping operations and project clean up operations. 

Town of Georgetown: (D#265635 Culvert Replacement Project 25- Towns of Augusta, Georgetown, and Schuyler) Route 80 between Chapin Hill Road and Morrow Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert repair work. 

City of Oneida, Village of Wampsville: (Permit # 471706) Route 5 between N Court Street and Stoneleigh Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to fiber line work. 

HERKIMER COUNTY

Village of Herkimer: (Permit D#214922 Replacement of the I-90 Bridge over Route 28) Route 28 under I-90. Motorists will encounter lane or shoulder closures under the bridge due to bridge work. 

Town of Litchfield: (D#265554 Culvert Resiliency Project 21 Contract 4 in the Town of Litchfield) Route 51 in the area of Remington Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place. The detour will utilize Elizabethtown Road and Spinnerville Gulf Road. 

Village of Dolgeville: (Permit #202502113431 Village of Dolgeville-Main Street Sewer Improvements) Route 167 between Spofford Ave and Timmerman Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sewer main installation.

Village of West Winfield: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 20 @ Route 51. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

City of Little Falls: (D#265564) 2026 Job Order Contract-Highway East) Route 167 between Boepple Road and Newville Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to landscaping operations and road repairs. 

City of Little Falls: (D#265658 Pavement Preventative Maintenance Route 167 City of Little Falls, Town of Manheim) Route 167 between Route 5 and Murphy Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to ditching work. 

Town of Herkimer: (Bridge inspection BIN 2204620) Shells Bush Road between Route 28 and Harter Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the inspection of the bridge over the West Canada Creek on Thursday July 23^rd. 

Village of Herkimer: (Permit) Route 5 between N Bellinger Street and N Caroline Street. Motorists will encounter a west bound lane closure due to curb, sidewalk and pavement repairs. 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Town of Glen: (Permit D#215009 Rehabilitation of I-90 over Route 5S) Route 5S between Auriesville Road and Main Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to the I-90 bridge rehabilitation. 

City of Amsterdam: (D#265697 Paving Contract (East) Routes 30, 67, & 80 City of Amsterdam, Village of Fort Plain, Towns of Minden & Palatine) Route 30 between Belldons Road and Prospect Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to guiderail removal. 

City of Amsterdam: ((D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 30 @ Guy Park Ave/ Market Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

City of Amsterdam: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 30 @ E Main Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

City of Amsterdam: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 30 @ Guy Park Ave/ High Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

Town of Root: (D#265397 Large Culvert Replacements Contract 1 in the Towns of Stark, Palatine, Root, and the Village of Dolgeville) Route 5S between Sprakers Hill Road and Currytown Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert work. 

Town of Canajoharie, Hamlet of Sprout Brook: (Maintenance operations) Route 163 between Cherry Valley Road and Vanduesenville Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place. Motorists will utilize Cherry Valley Road and Vanduesenville Road for the detour. 

City of Amsterdam: (Bridge Inspection BIN 1002950) Route 5S between Mead Road and Daniel Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the inspection of the bridge over Florida Ave on Friday July 24^th. 

Village of Palatine Bridge: (D#265618 Resurfacing Pavement Project Route 5 Town of Palatine) Route 5 between Groff Road and Failing Hill Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to project startup operations, ADA/curb ramp work.

Town of Long Lake: (D#264867 Replacement of Route 28 Bridge over the South Inlet of Raquette Lake) Route 28 at the South Inlet of Raquette Lake. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to bridge work. 

Town of Indian Lake: (D#265571 Regional Where and When 2026-2027 Region 2) Route 28 between Old Route 28 and John Rust Road. Landscaping work will be performed off the roadway with no impact to traffic. 

Hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake: (D#265570 Bridge Replacement Route 28 in the Town of Indian Lake) Route 28 between Durant Road and O’Neil Flowage. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to the installation of a temporary bridge.  

REGIONAL

D#265551 Pavement Markings: Motorists will encounter daily lane closures/ lane shifts with flaggers due to pavement marking operations on various routes in Oneida and Madison Counties.
