Road Work Report for the Week Beginning August 3, 2026

ONEIDA COUNTY

Village of Clinton: (D#265257 Clinton-Route 12B: PM Paving; RTE 12B & 412, Oneida County) Route 412 (College Street) between Route 233 and Franklin Ave. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sidewalk installation.

Village of Whitesboro: (Permit D#214978- Replacement of I-90 Bridge over Oriskany Blvd.) Route 69 between Route 291 and Clinton Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to the I-90 bridge construction. 

Village of Yorkville: (Permit) Route 5A @ Route 69 overlap. Motorists will encounter lane and shoulder closures due to gas line work. 

City of Rome: (Permit-Roundabout at the NYS Rte 825/Perimeter Road intersection) Route 825 between Hangar Road and Route 46. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place with a new traffic pattern due to the construction of a new roundabout. 

City of Rome: (D#265579 Route 46/Wright Settlement Road Intersection Improvement Project) Route 46 between North James Street and Potter Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sidewalk work. 

City of Rome: (Permit #040238 Downtown Rome Wheels to Heels Streetscapes, City of Rome Oneida County) Erie Blvd between James Street and George Street. Motorists will encounter daily lane closures in both directions due to sidewalk work and signal work. 

City of Rome: (D#265553 Large Culvert Replacement at Multiple Locations Contract 6) Route 46 between Elmer Hill Road and Pennystreet Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to culvert replacement work.  

City of Rome: (D#265553 Large Culvert Replacement at Multiple Locations Contract 6) Fish Hatchery Road between Route 46 and Williams Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to culvert replacement. The detour will utilize Route 46, Potter Road, Turin Road, and Williams Road. 

Town of Vernon: (Permit-Vernon Water District 202502114565) Route 31 between Route 26 traffic circle and Churchton Road.  Watermain work will be performed off the roadway with no impact to traffic.

Village of Oneida Castle: (Permit Village of Oneida Castle Sanitary Sewer Project) Route 5 between Route 365 and Route 46. Motorists will encounter flagging operations due to restoration work and sidewalk work.

Town of Boonville: (D#265530 Pavement Rehabilitation- Rte 46, Lansingkill to Holmes Road in the Towns of Ava, Boonville, & Western) Route 46 between Hillside Road and Holmes Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations, shoulder repairs and ditching.

Town of Sangerfield, Town of Bridgewater: (D#265660 Pavement Rehabilitation-Route 20 Town of Sangerfield to Town of Bridgewater) Route 20 between Beaver Creek Road and Route 8. Motorists will encounter lane shifts and shoulder closures in both directions due to guiderail installation and paving operations. 

City of Rome: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 26 between Martin Street and E Whitesboro Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

City of Utica: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Riverside Drive at North Genesee Street/ Herkimer Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

Hamlet of West Branch, Town of Lee: (D#265533 Culvert Repair and Replacement in the Town of Lee) Route 26 between River Road and Tuffy Road. Motorists will encounter shoulder and lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert and stream work.

City of Rome: (D#265503 WZTC Requirements, W&W Various Routes, Various Locations) Black River Blvd between E Dominick Street and Wright Settlement Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to drilling operations. 

Town of New Hartford: (Permit) Champlin Ave between St Lukes and Burrstone Road. Motorists will encounter a south bound right lane and shoulder closure due to sewer work on Monday August 3^rd.

Town of New Hartford: (Permit) Burrstone Road between French Road and Fairway Drive. Motorists will encounter a west bound lane and shoulder closure due to sewer work on Monday August 3^rd. 

Town of New Hartford: (Permit) Route 12 between Grandview Road and Genesee Street. Motorists will encounter a north bound lane closure due to sewer work on Tuesday August 4^th. 

Town of Verona: (Maintenance operations) Route 365 between Spring Road and Greenway New London Road. Motorists will encounter an east bound lane closure due to tree removal.

City of Utica: (Overhead Sign Inspection SIN 26170) Route 5/8/12 between French Road and Burrstone Road. Motorists will encounter a northbound right lane closure on Monday August 3^rd. 

City of Utica: (Overhead Sign Inspection SINs 26019, 26146) Route 5/8/12 between Lomond Place/Chenango Road and Wilbur Road. Motorists will encounter lane and ramp closures due to the inspection of overhead signs on Thursday August 6^th. 

Town of New Hartford: (Overhead Sign Inspection SINs 26140, 26141) Route 840 westbound ramps to Route 5A (Commercial Drive). Motorists will encounter lane closures on the ramp on Monday August 3^rd. 

City of Utica: (Bridge Inspection BINs 4002312, 4002311) Route 12 north bound between Route 5A/5S and the Route 49/790 split. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions on Thursday August 6^th. 

Town of Marcy: (Bridge Inspection BIN 4051770) Route 291 between Route 69 and Route 49. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions on Wednesday August 5^th. 

City of Rome: (Bridge Inspection BIN 4018872) Route 26 between Martin Street and Luquer Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures on the top side of the bridge as well as lane closures with flaggers in place on E Whitesboro Street on Wednesday August 5^th. 

 MADISON COUNTY

City of Oneida: (Permit D#215056 Replacement of Route 46 over I-90) Route 46 between Center Street and Cobb Street. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place due to the replacement of the bridge over I-90. The detour will utilize Routes NY 365A, NY 365, and NY 31.

Town of Georgetown: (D#265553 Large Culvert Replacements at Multiple Locations Contract 6) Route 26 between Lebanon Road and Jenne Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place. The detour will utilize Lebanon Road, Billing Hill Road, Campbell Road, S Lebanon Road, E Hill Road. 

HERKIMER COUNTY

Village of Herkimer: (Permit D#214922 Replacement of the I-90 Bridge over Route 28) Route 28 under I-90. Motorists will encounter lane or shoulder closures under the bridge due to bridge work. 

Town of Litchfield: (D#265554 Culvert Resiliency Project 21 Contract 4 in the Town of Litchfield) Route 51 in the area of Remington Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place. The detour will utilize Elizabethtown Road and Spinnerville Gulf Road. Elizabethtown Road has a height restriction of 13’-6” and a width restriction of 10’ in both directions. Truck traffic is encouraged to use Route 28 while the detour is in place. 

Village of Dolgeville: (Permit #202502113431 Village of Dolgeville-Main Street Sewer Improvements) Route 167 between Spofford Ave and Timmerman Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sewer main installation and road restoration.

Village of West Winfield: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 20 @ Route 51. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations. 

City of Little Falls: (D#265658 Pavement Preventative Maintenance Route 167 City of Little Falls, Town of Manheim) Route 167 between Route 5 and Bronner Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to ditching and shoulder reconstruction work. 

Village of Herkimer: (Permit) Route 5 between N Bellinger Street and N Caroline Street. Motorists will encounter a west bound lane closure due to curb, sidewalk and pavement repairs. 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Town of Glen: (Permit D#215009 Rehabilitation of I-90 over Route 5S) Route 5S between Auriesville Road and Main Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to the I-90 bridge rehabilitation. 

City of Amsterdam: (D#265697 Paving Contract (East) Routes 30, 67, & 80 City of Amsterdam, Village of Fort Plain, Towns of Minden & Palatine) Route 30 between Belldons Road and Prospect Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to median guiderail work. 

City of Amsterdam: ((D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 67 @ Mannys Corners Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

City of Amsterdam: (D#265416 Traffic Systems Improvement Projects 24 various locations) Route 30 @ Tessiero Square. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work. 

Town of Root: (D#265397 Large Culvert Replacements Contract 1 in the Towns of Stark, Palatine, Root, and the Village of Dolgeville) Route 5S between Sprakers Hill Road and Currytown Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert work. 

Town of Palatine: (D#265397 Large Culvert Replacements Contract 1 in the Towns of Stark, Palatine, Root, and the Village of Dolgeville) Route 5 between McKinley Road and County House Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to the installation of temporary signal poles. 

Town of Canajoharie, Hamlet of Sprout Brook: (Maintenance operations) Route 163 between Cherry Valley Road and Vanduesenville Road. Motorists will encounter a full road closure with a signed detour in place. Motorists will utilize Cherry Valley Road and Vanduesenville Road for the detour. 

Village of Palatine Bridge: (D#265618 Resurfacing Pavement Project Route 5 Town of Palatine) Route 5 between Groff Road and Failing Hill Road. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to ADA/curb ramp work. 

Village of Fort Plain: (D#265697 Paving Contract (East) Routes 30, 67, & 80 City of Amsterdam, Village of Fort Plain, Towns of Minden & Palatine) Route 80 between Honey Hill Road and Route 5S. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sign installation. 

FULTON COUNTY

City of Johnstown: (Permit) Route 29 between Route 30A and County Route 158. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to overhead fiber line work. 

City of Johnstown: (Permit) Route 29 @ Harrison Street. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to overhead fiber line work. 

HAMILTON COUNTY

Town of Long Lake: (D#264867 Replacement of Route 28 Bridge over the South Inlet of Raquette Lake) Route 28 at the South Inlet of Raquette Lake. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to bridge work. 

Hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake: (D#265570 Bridge Replacement Route 28 in the Town of Indian Lake) Route 28 between Durant Road and O’Neil Flowage. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals in place due to the installation of a temporary bridge.
