Utica, N.Y. — Kick off October at Munson’s First Friday fall block party from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2—an evening of arts and crafts, live music from Arthur Colmey Box Trio, lawn games, and good company surrounded by the beauty of Sculpture Grove. Tickets are $5 for Munson Members and $10 for the general public and are available at munson.art/first-friday-fall-block-party.

“First Friday is a chance to slow down, enjoy the early fall evening, and spend time together at Munson,” said Bob Mortis, director of Performing Arts. “With live music, activities, and the Sculpture Grove as the backdrop, it’s an easy way to start the weekend with friends and family.”

The Pratt Munson Faculty Show, closing on Oct. 4, will be in its final weekend and open with extended hours until 7:30 p.m. during First Friday. This free annual multimedia exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the personal art practices of Pratt Munson’s faculty featuring work in painting, design, sculpture, printmaking, video, and more. As educators and working artists, these faculty members balance teaching with a commitment to their own creative exploration. The exhibition celebrates their individual voices and shared role in shaping the next generation of artists and designers.
