The Little Falls High School Class of 1975 will celebrate its 50th class reunion on Saturday, August 9th. To honor this significant milestone, class members raised over $50,000, which will be distributed to The Little Falls Public Library, Little Falls Hospital, and The Little Falls Food Pantry.

Donations to Little Falls Hospital, a subsidiary of the Bassett Healthcare Network, are in memory of Dr. Oscar Muller, Dr. Bernard Burke, and Dr Robert Ashley, who provided medical care to the Little Falls community for a combined total of 133 years.

Donations to the Little Falls Food Pantry, a community service program of The Little Falls Youth and Family Center, will support the Pantry’s work of providing quality food items to local families and individuals experiencing food insecurity.

Donations to the Little Falls Public Library will help to sustain programs such as Bright Beginnings, Young Readers Club, Read in Color, BHA Enrichment Program, L.E.A.P., and Playdate Plus, that promote and support literacy skills for readers of all ages and levels.

The idea to include fundraising as part of the class of 1975’s reunion activities came from classmates Ken Carrig and Brian Molinaro, who were looking for a way to give back to the community that had provided them strong support and a solid foundation to build on during their school years.

In acknowledging the donation, Little Falls Library Director Julia Yardley stated that the generosity of the Class of 1975 would have a lasting and beneficial impact on lives in Little Falls.
