Holy Family Parish in Little Falls and St. Joseph Church in Dolgeville both invite you to join them for their Advent and holiday Masses this season. Advent began on November 30th this year. Named after the Latin word “Adventus,” which means “arrival,” it’s a special time for Christians to prepare for the ceremonial arrival of the Lord, Jesus Christ. The schedule additionally lists times for confession/reconciliation, which would cleanse and heal you as part of your spiritual preparations. Mass times for Christmas Eve and Christmas are also included, followed by the Solemnity of the Epiphany (Revelation) of the Lord – honoring when the Messiah was revealed to the world, starting with the Three Wise Men.
