Frankfort-Schuyler Girls Soccer Takes Down Mt. Markham, Advances

WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. — The sixth-seeded Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights took another step towards championship glory as they defeated the #3 Mt. Markham Mustangs 3-1 on Saturday afternoon in their Section III, Class C quarterfinals playoff game.

Maryna Harrod had one goal and one assist to pace the Maroon Knights’ offense. Leigh Ferguson and Alyssa Collins also scored while Ella Drennen registered an assist. Goalkeeper Ella Kaleta made eight saves in picking up her 13th win of the season.

Frankfort-Schuyler is now 15-2-1 this season. Up next, they will square off against the #2 seed Beaver River Beavers in the Section III, Class C semifinals on October 29 at Central Valley Academy.
