Utica, NY – Empowered Pathways announces the upcoming retirement of its long-term Executive Director Stephanie Eghigian, effective September 2025.

Stephanie has dedicated more than 35 years to nonprofit leadership and service, working in roles from direct support to executive management. She became Executive Director of the Women’s Employment and Resource Center (WERC) in 2012 and, in 2017, led the merger of WERC and the Peacemaker Program to form Empowered Pathways. Today, the organization continues the career development and employment services of WERC while also serving as the designated Community Dispute Resolution Center for Madison and Oneida Counties and as a partner of Herkimer County Family Court.

During her tenure, Stephanie expanded Empowered Pathways’ reach, secured vital funding, strengthened community partnerships, and guided the Come to the Table fundraiser into a beloved annual event.

Timothy Lyon, current Director of the Community Dispute Resolution Center, will serve as Interim Executive Director. He will work closely with Stephanie to ensure a smooth transition, with Stephanie remaining engaged as a consultant.

“Working under Stephanie’s leadership has been nothing short of life-changing. Her example has taught me the value of leading with both courage and compassion.” — Timothy Lyon

Empowered Pathways invites the community to join in celebrating Stephanie’s achievements and wishing her well in her next chapter. Stephanie’s full retirement announcement can be found on our website at www.empoweredpathwayscny.org.
