CVA Boys Soccer Season Comes to an End

PHOENIX, N.Y. — The Central Valley Academy Thunder gave it all they had, but their season came to an end with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Franklin Academy Huskies in the opening round of the NYSPHSAA Class A Boys Soccer Tournament on Wednesday night.

Casey Metott and Logan Kubecka scored for the Thunder, with Casey and Carter Metott registering one assist each as well. Both Metotts are seniors; Carter finishes with 58 career goals, while Casey finishes with 36 career goals.

CVA goalkeeper Max Canipe made eight saves.

The Thunder compiled a record of 12-9 for the 2025 season.
