Alpine Holds Halloween Celebration

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — Community spirit was on full display at Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Little Falls on Tuesday evening as the facility held its second annual Halloween Trick or Treat Celebration.

Residents and staff of the facility, along with members of the community, turned Alpine’s courtyard into a trick-or-treating pathway. Children and adults alike enjoyed candy, cider, fun, and camaraderie.

“It’s nice to get the community involved,” said Samantha Foster, the Admissions Coordinator for Alpine. “Also, all of our staff and their family members and the residents really enjoy it.”

Of course, no Halloween celebration is complete without costumes, and there was no shortage of those. Everything from witches, vampires, and ghosts lined the courtyard. Even Crayola crayons, Darth Vader, and one of his Stormtroopers were enjoying the fun.

For the residents of Alpine, opening their home to help celebrate Halloween is especially thrilling.

“They love it, especially anytime that there’s kids here,” Foster said. “It’s just great for them (the residents) to get out and just have a lot of fun.”
