LITTLE FALLS, NY – March 8, 2026 – It was a memorable afternoon for Holy Family Parish as they held an early St. Patrick’s Day party in their gym after their Sunday Masses. The event was to celebrate Irish culture and the feast of St. Patrick, who brought Christianity to the Emerald Isle. Food was provided by several parishioners to be shared by all partygoers. One highlight of the celebration was a soda bread contest. It was hard work, but attendees were tasked with trying each tasty piece and making the difficult decision of which was best out of the eight entries. In addition, members of the St. Bernadette’s Sodality and the Confirmation class wowed spectators by performing Ceili dancing accompanied by Irish music. The dancing featured Matthew, Rachel, Rebekah, Anna, and Marie Gazak, Steven, Jane, and Mary Horning, and Astrid Guidice.

It was a special afternoon of Irish music, dancing, delicious food, soda bread, and fellowship. A special shout-out goes to the winner of the Irish soda bread contest: Jen Guidice!

Be on the lookout for next year’s party date as we near the St. Patrick’s Day holiday again. Other announcements and parish news can be found on their Facebook page and their website: holyfamilylittlefalls.org/.
